Hans-Georg Gadamer: * 11. February 1900 in Marburg; † 13. March 2002 in Heidelberg.
Der Anfang der Philosophie, Philipp Reclam, Stuttgart 1996.
Gadamer was one of the most prominent German philosophers of the 20th century. For him, any understanding of the linguistic nature of being is bound to the horizon of time, regardless of whether it is text or interpersonal understanding. For the interpretation of an object he therefore assumes openness, awareness of one's own partiality.
