Light and Mind
Light and human consciousness are closely linked. Just as people's perceptual abilities are highly diverse, so is the "inner light," the inner, psychic pole of seeing. The artists in the exhibition LIGHT AND MIND make processes of perception visible in their temporality. The spectrum of works on display includes photographs and videos that explore the representation and direct use of light. The focus is on the connection between light and movement, both in the representation or depiction of light effects and in the staging of light in space. An interplay between the light of nature and the light of consciousness becomes visible.
“His art deals with reality, employing both the level of interpretation behind it along with abstraction at the same time.” Zehnder, Professor Frank Günter, PhD, Farbwelt 135-36 Kreis Düren, 2010, Düren, page 47
