Sheldon Fox (1930 - 2006)

Sheldon Fox, born 1930 in Bronx, New York City was an American architect and one of three founding partners of the U.S. architectural firm of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), New York City, and died 2006 in Fairfield, Connecticut

He studied at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1953. His irst job was at Kahn & Jacobs New York in 1955. 1972 he moved to John Carl Warnecke & Associates, where he former fellow William Pederson met again. Together with A. Eugene Kohn the two founded their own architecture office, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in 1976.  The success of the offices in New York, London and Shanghai maintains, and currently has around 400 employees in about 30 countries. Fox withdrew from the office in 1996, kept doing lectures on architecture till his dead in 2006
