H. R. Yeoville Thomason (1826-1901)
H. R. Yeoville Thomason was born in1826 at Edinburgh. He was an architect in Birmingham. Thomason set up his own practice in Birmingham 1853-1854. He was a pupil of Charles Edge, and after qualifying as architect he worked for the borough surveyor. He designed the Council House after winning a competition. He retired in 1896, and died in 1901.
