Karl von Fischer (1782 - 1820)
Karl von Fischer was born in 1782 in Mannheim. His works influenced the architecture of the classicism in the South of Germany. From 1796 to 1798 he was a pupil of Maximilian von Verschaffelt. In 1799 von Fischer moved to Vienna and studied architecture under Ferdinand von Hohenberg. In the age of 22 he designed the the Prinz-Carl-Palais in Munich, and became a professor for architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich in 1808. He died in Munich.
