Eygalières

Eygalières is a small calm village, which is surrounded by the Alpilles Mountains. The village is popular for its stone houses, which are overgrown with flowers. On the top of the village is the church and you can see the chateau ruins, and the esplanade of the old gatehouse and Saint-Laurent Church. It has got a population of 1,851 inhabitants and the history of that villages dated back to 10 BC. The French resistance fighter Jean Moulin hit in Eygalieres during the Second World War
