City Hall is a civic building in Cathays Park in Cardiffit is built of Portland stone. Lanchester, Stewart and Rickards designed that building in English and French Renaissance architectural styles. The Construction by Turner and Sons started in 1900 and was completed in 1904. It opened as a centre of local government in october1906.The City Hall is dominated by the 194 foot high clock tower, and the dome is surmounted by a Welsh dragon, sculpted by HC Fehr. You can charter parts of the city hall for meetings, marriages and exhibitions.
