Jury decisions made
My photographers:network project is taking place in Siegen again this year. I would be delighted if you could include the exhibition in your calendars and reporting.

At the beginning of 2009, Thomas Kellner once again invited his colleagues from around the world, whom he had met over the last few years, to take part in this project. They are all mostly young photographers whom he has met at festivals, art fairs and in his galleries. Some of them have been friends for years. This year, 108 photographers with more than three hundred works applied to take part. The aim of the project is to build a network among colleagues and to promote each other. An expert jury consisting of two journalists (Thomas Gerwers, PROFIFOTO and Manfred Zollner, fotomagazin), a gallery owner (Beate Cegielska, Galleri Image, Aarhus, Denmark) and an art historian (Johan Sjöström, Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Sweden) jointly selected the works to be exhibited.
The winner of the portfolio prize is Dirk Hanus from Leipzig, whose work will be featured in fotomagazin in July/August. A selection of all the works will be published in PROFIFOTO magazine in July.
The exhibition of the 26 selected works will take place from June 27 to July 5 in Thomas Kellner's studio. As every year, a presentation and artist talk is planned on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the lecture room of the Museum für gegenwartsjkunst in Siegen. On Sunday, June 28, the Art Galerie will open the award-winning exhibition with works by Dirk Hanus.
