Kunstverein Rosenheim presents Kunst Aktuell 2024 (Current Art 2024)

Rosenheim. The Kunstverein Rosenheim has been presenting the annual showcase of the art scene entitled Kunst Aktuell 2024 since 9 June. The Kunstverein Rosenheim, based in Bavaria, is a center for contemporary art that presents diverse exhibitions and renowned artists.

As part of the juried annual exhibition, which was conceived by the five-member jury (Martin Fritzsche, Jakob Gilg, Regina Marmaglio, Philipp Stähle, Hannes Stellner), 80 works were selected from a large number of applications from Germany and integrated into the exhibition.

The exhibited works include renowned positions as well as new discoveries. This year's exhibition presents works that question and explore contemporary themes in various artistic forms, from painting to photography and sculpture.  Each artistic position presented brings its own unique vision, reflecting the dynamics and tensions of our time.

In addition to the rich range of artistic experience, the Kunstverein Rosenheim, with the support of the Kultur- und Sozialstiftung Dr. Michael Stöcker, has awarded Christine Ott, with the Art Prize.
In addition to the multifaceted spectrum of artistic performances that the Kunstverein Rosenheim offers its audience, Christine Ott was awarded the art prize with the support of the Kultur- und Sozialstiftung Dr. Michael Stöcker.

One of the positions is the photographic artist Thomas Kellner, who is internationally renowned for his innovative photographic compositions and his distinctive technique of deconstructing images. He is best known for his photographs of architectural monuments, which are reconstructed piece by piece in a new artistic interpretation, such as the Eiffel Tower.Thomas Kellner is showing his work Kapellenschule Arborn, 2022 at Rosenheim, joining Roland Fischer, Michael Wesely and die Brücke, who have already exhibited at the Kunstverein Rosenheim.
