Tango Metropolis 2005
In 2005 the gallery Image in Aarhus Denmark published this catalog for the exhibition of the same name. In this third catalog of Kellner's contact sheets, works from Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas are published for the first time. With these large-format contact sheets consisting of up to 8 or 10 roles of film, or up to more than 300 shots, Thomas Kellner not only makes buildings dance and bridges swing, but invites the viewer to a rhythmic dance in these metropolises. The works are accompanied by an insightful essay by Ditte Maria Bangsund-Pedersen. What began in 2004 with an exhibition of the same name in Siegen became a first catalog, followed by others in 2016 and 2021.
