William Frederick Lamb (1883 - 1952)
William Frederick Lamb, geboren 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, war der Hauptdesigner des Empire State Building. Lamb studierte am William College, an der School of Architecture der Columbia University und an der Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Im Jahr 1911 trat er in das Büro Carrere & Hastings ein. Im Jahr 1920 änderte die Firma ihren Namen in Carrère and Hastings Shreve & Lamb, 1925 in Shreve & Lamb und 1929 in Shreve, Lamb and Harmon. Er starb 1952 in New York.
