César Pelli (geboren 1926)
Cesar Pelli, geboren 1926 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentinien, ist ein argentinischer Architekt, der für den Bau einiger der höchsten Wolkenkratzer der Welt und anderer bedeutender städtischer Wahrzeichen wie der Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia oder des Cira Centre in Philadelphia, PA, USA, bekannt ist. Er entwarf auch den Komplex des World Financial Center in Manhattan, der das inzwischen eingestürzte World Trade Center umgibt. Cesar Pelli studierte Architektur an der Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. Er schloss sein Studium an der School of Architecture der University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign ab. Cesar Pelli begann seine Karriere im Büro des Architekten Eero Saarinen in New Haven. Er wanderte 1952 in die Vereinigten Staaten aus. Er eröffnete sein eigenes Büro im Jahr 1977.
