Cardiff, Castle Tower
Cardiff Castle was built in the 13th century by Gilbert de Clare, the man who built Caerphilly Castle and the original Castell Coch. The Clock Tower, which is including to the castle of Cardiff has a dark tale to tell and is 40 metres high and has got seven storeys. It was built from a dark Caerphilly stone and fashioned in a robust French Gothic style from 1869 till 1873 by Gothic Revival architect William Burges. The castle interior is decorated inside with stained glass windows, sculpture, marquetry and stonework.
